Pledging for 2024: Building Something that Matters

Pledging for 2024: Building Something that Matters

Dear Fair Oaks Family,

As we look to commemorate 100 years of Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, we have much to celebrate. Because of those who came before us, Fair Oaks continues to grow and build so much more than a church structure.

So what are we building?:

  • A community of members that celebrates and supports each other with joy and energy.
  • Worship services that provide meaning, connection, and restoration to those in need.
  • A focus on faith formation that includes individuals of all ages through adult education, book clubs, Sunday school, youth mission trips, and LOGOS.
  • An emphasis on service and mission that hosts Learning Edge tutoring, supports migrants seeking asylum in Chicago, A House in Austin, New Moms, The Night Ministry, Refugee One, Infant Welfare Society, and many more local organizations.
  • A global outreach effort through organizations such as Thailand Mission, our sister church in Los Palos, Opportunity International, and PC (USA).
  • A sanctuary and building that holds worship services, wedding ceremonies, baptisms, LOGOS, and much more.

These things happen and are happening because of YOUR giving and God’s grace! Your pledges help us continue to build something that matters.

During the pledge season, you heard more about the associate pastor search process and heard from some of our members as to why they make pledging to Fair Oaks an annual priority.  You may remember we have been searching for a part-time Associate Pastor.  While we have not found a candidate for this part-time role, we are incredibly grateful to have interns join our staff recently. Their work has shown us how much more we can accomplish with a larger pastoral presence. And so, this coming year, our goal is to seek the funding to successfully call a full-time Associate Pastor.

We ask you to consider an increase of 8% to help reach our goal of moving forward with a full-time Associate Pastor.  No matter the amount, we encourage you to pledge not just to a budget but to build something that matters!  So as you think to the future, what do you want to build at Fair Oaks?

We know that pledging requires planning. To help you determine your 2024 contribution, we’ve provided a summary of the Congregation’s 2023 pledges in the table below. You can view your personal pledge history and submit your 2024 pledge in Realm. Pledges can also be submitted using a paper pledge card.

Thank you for building something that matters!
