Register for LOGOS Summer 2024!

Children entering Kindergarten through graduating 5th grade are invited to our week-long day camp at Fair Oaks, June 10-14, 8 am-5 pm. Cost is $100 per child with scholarships available. Children will bring their lunch, but snacks will be provided. Register here.

Communion and Liturgy

Fair Oaks needs preparers and servers for its celebration of communion. All members can help prepare the elements while only ordained members can serve communion. Please consider helping with this important part of our worship service. See the eWeekly to sign up. During the programming year, liturgists help the co-pastors lead our 10 am Sunday worship services. Consider volunteering to serve as liturgist for one or more Sundays.

Learning Edge Tutoring

Fair Oaks hosts Learning Edge Tutoring on Monday nights during the school year. The program provides free one-to-one tutoring for students who primarily live in the Austin neighborhood. Learning Edge Tutoring has an immediate need for volunteer tutors for its Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening programs.  Tutors are matched with a student (grades K through 8) and meet with them once a week (holidays excluded) for 90 minutes from 6:30-8 pm through mid-May.  Student-tutor pairs work together on homework and/or seek to…

Pickleball for Adults

Saturday morning pickleball at Fair Oaks is back! An almost-regulation-sized court (it’s a little short) has been laid out in the gym and a net has been provided for pickle ball play. There are open slots at 9 am and 10 am. No equipment or experience is necessary—there are extra paddles available, and the group is happy to provide instruction to those who have never played. Refugee Family Update

Update and Transition – June 27, 2022 The Afghan refugee family we sponsor is doing well. Their apartment now has air conditioners and curtains to help with this heat – they tell us it is rarely this hot in Afghanistan! The younger boys (ages 16 and 11) have finished the school year and happily report that they did well.
