At  Fair Oaks, there are many opportunities to learn, to serve, and to build community for adults of all ages. Let us help you find your place here.

Learning

Bible Study Thursday Mornings

If you have been looking for a group to join for study and build new relationships in person during the day, this is the group for you! Our weekly class meets Thursday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30 in the parlor or on the patio, weather permitting. All are welcome!

Sunday Morning Adult Education

This weekly class meets at 9 am on Sundays during the program year.

Fair Oaks Book Group

Book Group generally meets at 7 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month during the program year. The group selects both fiction and non-fiction works that aspire to offer insights into our faith and meets in homes to allow for more relaxed fellowship. Contact the church office for locations and any questions.

Copies of each book are available at the main branch of the Oak Park Public Library one month in advance of each meeting—simply ask the front desk for the FOPC book group selection.

Youth Ministry offers many ways to participate in intergenerational relationships in support of youth faith formation. Opportunities are available for adults to work in our Children, Youth, and LOGOS programs. Contact the church office to find out how to get involved.

Maker’s Ministry members use their sewing and crafting skills to make prayer blankets and baptism quilts, as well as contributing handcrafted items for church events, such as the Fair Oaks Market (link to https://www.fairoakspres.org/fair-oaks-market/). During Covid, Maker’s Ministry sewed over 1,500 masks for local healthcare workers, patients and families. Email the church office for information about meeting times and dates.
