About Worship

Who We Are > About Worship
Worship is at the center of our life at Fair Oaks Church. Our worship service is intellectually challenging, yet inviting at the same time. Christ-centered preaching, corporate prayer, time for individual meditation, and an excellent variety of music are hallmarks of our traditional Reformed liturgical style. The presence and participation of all age groups is important to us and enhances our communal worship experience. Members of the congregation serve regularly as worship leaders and liturgists.
In worship we joyfully ascribe all praise and honor, glory and power to God. In worship we remember the exciting truth that God is present not only in the world but also in our lives. As we respond in worship to God’s love and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, we are transformed and renewed by God’s Holy Spirit. In worship we offer ourselves to God in thanksgiving and are equipped for God’s service in the world. We invite you to come anytime as part of this faithful community.

Sunday Worship Services

On Sunday mornings, year round, we offer two times for worship: 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Essentially mirror images of each other, the later service is slightly longer and includes our wonderfully talented Chancel Choir. While there is generally no choir at the earlier service, solos and duets are a regular and inspirational part of all our worship services. Sunday service includes at least one children/youth component: a children’s sermon, an anthem by one of our Logos children’s choirs, youth leading parts of the liturgy, or young people playing hand bells.
